About Us
Our coaches are passionate about achieving health and well being through running. These are the people that will help you reach your goals and challenge you to be better!
Jacko ElliottJacko is one of the Gold Coast Run Co founders, a competitive runner and coach. First and foremost Jacko is all about developing the person, ensuring that they are happy, the enjoy their running and that running fits in to their balanced approach to life. This is his approach to life where he coaches our Junior and High Performance Squads, runs 100+kms on a weekly basis, works full time as a teacher and still finds enough quality time for his wife Alisa and two girls, Harper and Charlotte.
We could mention his various PBs and Road Racing results but that is beside the point; he can run fast and he is keen to have a massive positive impact on the various people and groups he comes into contact with including the investment of time and energy in to the various Gold Coast Run Co service projects. |
Andrew StallingStallo is also a founder of Gold Coast Run Co. Although he has completed many fun runs/Triathlons over the years (including a couple of Ironman Triathlons and the World Long Course Triathlon Champs in Nice, France), he definitely wouldn’t consider himself a runner but he gets enormous enjoyment from running on a regular basis which fits in perfectly with his other hobbies of photography and surfing.
Stallo brings enormous administration and coaching experience to GC Run Co having been the Director of Athletics at Anglican Church Grammar School and The Southport School for 15+ Years. A role that has allowed him to work alongside some of Australia’s best Athletics coaches and some amazingly talented athletes, some of which are still a big part of the Gold Coast Run Co High Performance Squad. It was in these roles that he was able to lead the very first Service and Running tour to Kenya back in 2013; this is something that has been repeated every 2-3 years since then. Similar to Jacko, growth of character far outweighs any importance placed on results which is a key pillar of the Gold Coast Run Co approach. Stallo also balances Gold Coast Run Co responsibilities with teaching full time as well as undertaking Dad duties with Lila and Buddy. |
Amber DonnelleyAmber is one of our outstanding coaches who works with our Whippets, Run Clubs and Junior Squad. Having competed at an National and International level over 400m and 800m races.
Amber’s focus now is all about helping people be physically fit and active while enjoying it; a perfect fit in to the Gold Coast Run Co approach. This love of working with people is plainly obvious when you meet her; her positive and relaxed approach has rubbed off on her 3 kids with Diesel, Sayla and Sohl all enjoying their running. Part of the reason why Gold Coast Run Co has grown year on year is because of Amber's presence. She is the glue between all of the group and has an amazing ability to bring the community together and create connections with everyone in our crew. |
Jordan McLennan
In addition to chasing his own athletic goals as part of the High Performance Squad, Jordo also plays a coaching role in looking after our Northern Junior Squad. Although being relatively young amongst the GCRun Co coaching crew, his massive passion for running has left him with no shortage of experience. Having been coached by Jacko to national podiums as a junior, racing internationally for triathlon and competing in the NCAA college system in America, he knows a thing or two about running quick as well as the enormous positive impact running has on everyday life. Working closely with Jacko and Stallo, he creates an enjoyable training environment that encourages a long term dedication to running. As well as staying on top of 120k training weeks and coaching commitments, Jordo is also studying full-time for a career in architecture.
